1) 蛋白污染不是脂肪污染-unlike dioxins or PCBs, methylmercury (the main organic form as found in fish and other animals) does not accumulate in fat tissue, instead, through double sulfur bond it binds to protein (fish meat), therefore throwing away skin and fat does not help lower mercury content

2) 排毒很慢很难巰基是关键-elimination of methylmercury is so slow that usually kids end up accumulating mercury to toxic level. Now that you realize the problem, you can help shift the balance (a little tiny bit) toward elimination, through food selection. The removal of methlymercury in body requires glutathione. Unfortunately, we can't take glutathione pill or glutathione injection because it is quickly degraded. We can provide the body with plenty of precursors to synthesize glutathione, in the form of mercapto (-SH) containing amino acid, cysteine. Asparagus, avocado, and garlic are easy choices.

For adults, milk thistle and alpha lipoic acid are two commonly available supplements that are known to boost body (liver)'s glutathione level.
