got a very sore throat

I am pregnant for 33 weeks, got a very sore throat and a strong cough from my lungs . I don't have a fever,butI feel terrible pain everytime when I cough . Is here anyone have good home remedy or good ideas for my problem ? I want to avoid medicine because I am pregnant . Thanks for any suggestions.
