Who Gets This Cancer?

Female breast cancer is most common in middle-aged and older women. Although rare, men can develop breast cancer as well. The number of new cases of breast cancer was 123.8 per 100,000 women per year.

0.0% under 20; 1.8% 20-34; 9.6% 35-44; 22.2% 45-54; 25.2% 55-64; 20.7% 65-74; 14.8% 75-84; 5.7% 85 and older

Breast cancer rates are highest in people aged 55-64 years.
