Let me answer your concern subjectively:
- saran wrap is polyethylene 聚乙烯. I have never seen any implication of polyethylene in cancer. It is a rather safe material
- zip-lock type sandwich bag is also made with polyethylene resin. If you follow instruction, it should be safe. I will double check with manufacturer on this.
- i mentioned a type of PVC 聚氯乙烯type plastic wrap that is toxic. I think we see this type on some wal-mart merchandise, but not foods.
- you are right about cancer taking many years to form. Most expert estimates put it 10+ years. Only in mouse you can induce cancer within 1-2 years.
- tracing the cause of cancer is about educating the living and protecting the next generations, it is never about placing blame on any family member...
