西方教育的核心宗旨就是liberal art education，所有大学都是，除了Caltech和mit这种极端技校。

本科讲究文理兼顾，要breadth而非专业depth。要孩子自由explore而不是上来就定专业。当然各个学校能做到多少不好说，尤其是资源有限的话就侵蚀了这个理想。这跟是否去LAC无关

感情教育是靠家庭和个人从小的经历。
