2. Santiago Marathon (Chile)
- Held in April (autumn in the Southern Hemisphere), usually cool.
- Course is relatively flat with just a few mild inclines.
- Also at near sea level.
3. Punta del Este Marathon (Uruguay)
- Small race, very scenic coastal route.
- Flat terrain, mild weather in September.
- Less crowded, but support may be lighter compared to big city races.
