It is very risky, your only hope to bet the aprecition, if it is in Bay area, you may be ok. You violate the cardinal rule of RE investment, postive cash flow, positive cash flow and positive cash flow! I wish you good luck.

Reagrding where tio park your cash, buy REIT stocks such as NLY, you get 10.54% annual dividend yield!
