1-year lease vs 2-year lease?

The property is in Sunnyvale CA
Tenant is a young Indian engineer with income of 3X rent, good credit
To be safe, I offered 1-year lease. However, tentant wants 2-year lease. I guess he worries rent increase next year as the rent is increasing in this area.

Should I agree with it? Thank you for your advice.
