Do your parents have Medicaid?/thank you

My parents received Medicaid this past month.  Does that mean I can no longer claim them as dependents on my tax return?  I heard someone saying that Medicaid counts as one's income.  I don't quite believe this.

If Medicaid counts as income, then how is this income calculated?
