But I am pretty sure moisture shall not cause massive warp unless the slab is completely wet, most of them are not. I think the contractor bought the cheapest materials for you and eat the profit.

So see if you can get warrenty info from dealer first.

Next time, use fiber based underlayment (one side with blue or red plastic film and other side with fiber. Film face up). Tape the underlayment first. Buy material yourself instead through the contractor. The whole job should not cost more than $2500. (If DIY, $1500)
