I will fight back.

1.  Try to find the evidence of fax.  Like phone recode, original fax document.

2. Read the notice from hoa and find out all the details about date and requirements.  Try to find any items that you can argue about.

3. Find you tax return document as evidence that you have rented it out long time ago.

 

The key is to prove that you have rent it out long before the new rule.  And there is not reason for you not to send lease information.  And you do fax in and called to confirm.  And the hoa's deadline is unfair.  And the attorney letter is way too late as the deadline is one year after the deadline.  And there is not other notice from hoa for missing lease document.
