紧急求助：San Jose City要求检查 Unpermitted 建筑

刚买了一个白菜房，车库改建了，Unpermitted。 这种情况在圣和西很常见。30-50%的房都这样。所以没注意。

刚收到一封信，从一个code enforcement inspector 来的， 用的city的信纸。

“Our office is in receipt of a complaint regarding possible code violations at your house. …

Please contact our office promptly to arrange for a property inspection. Failure to do so may require City of San Jose to take further enforcement action as appropriate.”

打听了一下，线索还挺多。

1.       此人很aggressive，跟我的PM 就有3次照面。一次看见他们装修，硬挤进来，要求检查。害他们多花1K dollar 和时间。（屋主可以不让他进屋，就没事了）。还有一次要给driveway停车和垃圾开罚单。再一次就是我。很是扰民。

2.       此人以前是Contractor，刚被City招入。可能想立功，多给City创收。

3.       City 以前有人问过，City 不会主动来查（这种情况）， 除非有人反复告。

4.       City停发车库改建许可证。让他查，只有把车库改回去。花钱，减值。

5.       此人没有证据，想使诈。我可以不让他进屋。他只有申请Court Order， 才可以进来。这是最好的对策，拒敌于千里之外。前任就扛了一年多。

第一次碰见这种事，想请教各位老大，

1.       有谁碰见过，怎么处理的？

2.       我不让他进屋。他有什么招可以使（further enforcement action）？比如说整个不具法律意义的信，骗房客开门。或者借Code Enforcement 部门的规定。
