Help!!

1) Signed a contract with a general contractor to extend house

2) Long story to a short,  finally the general contractor finish the house extension

3) There are around 38K pending payment the general contractor has not paid to sub contractor

4) Now the general contractor said he has no money any more, will backrupted if I push him too much

5) Sub contractor told me that they did not get paid but I told them I have already paid all the money based on contract to the general contractor

6) Subcontractor said that based on FL law, if the general contract is not able to pay, then the owner should pay.  if not then lien will be added to the property

7) Now I have all the documents that I have paid the general contractor, and also the document that the general contractor will response for all the sub contractor fee, labor etc

My questions is what will happen next? (what should I do?)

a) also if lien added to my house, what will happen?

b) should I sue the general contractor? (he maybe has no money or little money now)

c) My house will be foreclosure if sub contractor to file the lien and then able to forecloseure my house?
