That one percent is penalty--if you buy it, and then sell it in 60 days ( check the short-term redemption definition, each fund is different. Some is 90 days, some is 30 days.), you will have to pay the 1% penalty. There is a managing fee, 0.73% annually. You would not see the charge directly from your account. It is taken from the profit.
As far as I know, when you buy/sell a fidelity fund, the price is decided as following: Before 2:00PM, eastern time, the price is the same day. After that, it is the next business day price. That's why MF is not real-time trade. ONly ETFs are real-time trage.
