交税避税

住在一个房地税全国数一数二的地方， 每年交10K 多的房钱。    Now just retired and found some silver lining in this high property tax state: no retirement tax for pension, ss, IRA. We converted some pretax Ira money to Roth, and paid no state tax on it. So here's our plan: downside to a smaller house in the current state and buy another property at a different state such as CA or FL, but keep the main residence in the present state for tax purposes. Does this sound like a good idea?
