她自己说的turbotax减了一千

““ 由于我们俩收入高 , 它不让我deduct 三千loss, 只能一千, ”

这一句话指的是passive loss rule: (1) passive loss can only be deducted against passive income (一万减三千）, except (2) for income under 100K, 25K of passive loss can be deducted against earned income; (3) for adjusted gross income more than 100K, 50% of the income exceeds 100K would be used to phase out the 25K passive loss limit, until all the passive loss is phased out at $150K. 

这个（2）是我来解释她为什么减了一千。我认为她的认知有错误，但是谁也不知道她糊涂在哪里。我只是指出passive loss rule的两方面。
