现在偷懒的做法以后慢慢思考的话,你可以先建一个house在某个位置,建议靠边,这样以后你想sub divide的话可以直接把那个建房子的地方做一个Lot split出去。这样的话你现在比较省心,而且税也低。
如果你现在split lot,做development plan,拿到Permit的过程比较长,depends your city, it may require soil test, civil engineering involved, and you need decide if you will get publit sewer or septic, public sewer的话,你可以划很小的lot, but be aware some places requires certain size of lot when divide, depending how rural you are, some time city will not pay for connecting public sewer, it costs a ton for deverloper to run sewer line themselves, in this case, septic is better and cheaper choice.
