of the house, not the tenants. We have same situation. We paid $25 deposit to HOA to get the key. If tenants lose it, you can always deduct it from her security deposit.  if she wants to put in lease you can put it in the lease that she should return pool key at end of lease, if not, deduct the deposit from her security deposit. What is the problem? There is no reason to lose a tenant for such trivia issues.
