introduction. It was discussed and calculated and even practised to death in NBA and around NBA. That's called Proval of Concept. Every rule change in NBA is to make sure that you try your best to keep it balanced, NOT to give advantage to just one type of players or teams. Basketball is a simple game with one sole gole, to gain more points than your opponent, although X and Os are very complicated. The consensus after all those years are to try every possible means to achieve higher percentage shots. It dismissed the notion, as attractive as it might be, that one single formula can win you most of the games.

I certainly enjoyed the discussion, and appreciate DADQ's innovative idea, which had we all busy for the past two days:) I am not a scientist myself, but I have met some smart minds and bright scientists. One thing I see them in common is, they have flashes of all kinds of new ideas, but they are also very cautious to themselves. They want to ask questions to themselves before they question others. They tend to exam their own idea seriously, and verify others' input, before they claim everyone else is dumb. The more you learn, the more unknown is there for you.
