it IS a crazy move to use zone defense against a shooting team; however, when rockets have yao ming, there is no way they can play one-on-one defense against a speedy team like suns. yao would need way too much protection from his teammates; otherwise, he would be fouled out pretty quickly.
expanded zone defense would be a crazy move to make, but after we saw how terrible rockets' one-on-one with suns, i would use it to try my luck.
no matter what, suns are a better team than rockets for sure, so whatever JVG and his players decide to do, they will be an underdog for sure (that's actually why i don't like people say rockets have to win tonight's game to show they are a good team. they are already a good team and yao already showed his value to the team).
go rockets! go yao!
it IS a crazy move
