Some points about the NBA finals

Just some personal opinions as a big Spurs fan and Rockets fan. Criticisms are welcomed. I am Not a good English writer, but can not input Chinese now.

Best player after Jordan: TD or Shaq? So many debates on ABC and ESPN. I am going to pick TD based on his consistency and helping his teammates better. But I agree Shaq was most dominated player, maybe in all the NBA history, and he attracted more fans allover the world. He is absolutely more entertaining than TD. San Antonio is just small markets and the Spurs don't stand a chance to compete with Hollywood-styled Lakers. So unlike Lakes, they are always NOT the NBA and referees favorite. Shaq's 4 rings are also not so convincing as TD's. He is not a big factor for his 4th champ. Wade almost single-handed got the Heats a championship. At last years finals, Shaq was always out of the court at the critical times. TD was a MVP in all the Spurs' western conference playoff games even including the first two games of the finals this year. He was suddenly off offensively. But at the defensive end, he was still the best.

MVP, Tony Parker or TD? Parker deserves the MVP based on his fantastic performance in the finals. But as I talked above, if TD kept his pace as before in the last two games, TD could be a MVP too. And in the last two games, the Cavs always double-teamed TD by two big men, Varejao and big Z and thanks for Varejao's good hassles. Even though the balls were just not falling for him, I didn't see a sign of being tired. So I am looking forward to TD's coming back next season.

About LBJ, to be next or a better Magic, not next Micheal Jordan. Too much pressure for him. First step he should take off the nickname 'King' and improve his mid-range shooting skills. You can't depend on your body for a long time, otherwise the aging and the injuries can bury all your layups and your career. Actually, in this year's regular season, LBJ was not playing at the level of the people's expectation. His all numbers were dropping. But he finally pushed up a little at the end of the regular season and his terrific play (or maybe just of that one game against the Pistons) of playoffs made people forgot that. Really not sure about his next year. Just wait and see.

About the trade of Mike James and Juwan Howard. Alston was OK and Howard did fine as a bench player in the palyoffs. The worst palyers in the playoffs are T-Mac and Yao, maybe Head or Jazzs' dirty defenders. James might help the team, but what about Chemistry. T-Mac is not going to be happy. Before they got a better power forward, I call this trade is stupid.

Repeated champ for Spurs? Not very confident. There are just so many good teams in the West. But with TD, Manu and Parker and anything, the spurs are always good contender of Championship.

Spurs vs. Rockets? Being a big fan of the Spurs for many years. But always support Rockets and Yao over Spurs and TD. But the Spurs always make me feel good and Rockets simply was too disappointing.
