I guess you want to be funny. But no matter how hard

you dig into any analyst reports or any list you can find, nobody lists Parker as top 5 perimeter player. On most people's list, Billups was listed higher than Parker.

Penny was top 3 guard when Shaq entered the finals with Orlando, where he was swept by Rockets. Kobe was top 3 guard if not the best. Wade was top 3, when the Heat won the title last year.

Shaq was the most dominant offensive player ever played the game. No argument about that. However, he did have his support of top perimeter players at his side, who can take game over in closing minutes.

Parker is good, very good, and he's getting better year after year. However, he's not as good as a Penny, Kobe, or Wade in their primes, not yet. To win 4 titles in 9 years, being one of the default contender among all those years, is not a fluke, and not something to take lightly. It is greatness.

To me, although Shaq was most dominant in offense, but TD is a more complete player at both ends, without obvious shortcoming. His FT isn't great, but acceptable as a big man. One can argue whether he's a center or pf, but if you put them altogether as big men, TD is one of the best. If you look at the PF position, I think he's THE best. As for the center position, there are a few players in the history can compete with Shaq for the best title, and he only put himself as top 5.

This is not my diss at Shaq, just my opinion about a great Spurs team for the past 9 years.

TD is great. But, he could not beat Shaq. -ojx111- 给 ojx111 发送悄悄话 (78 bytes) () 06/15/2007 postreply 11:51:30
