ok i think this should be the solution:

let P[see star in the nth 10min interval]=p

then P[see star in two continous intervals] = P[see star in 1st interval] + P[do not see in 1st interval]P[see in 2nd] = p+(1-p)p

and P[see star in six cont intervals] = p + ... + p(1-p)^5 = 0.9

then im too lazy to solve p
