If you are in the following states,

  • Maryland 
  • New Jersey
  • Pennsylvania 
  • Rhode Island 
  • Connecticut 
  • Delaware 
  • Massachusetts 

And you already started a refinance or purchase transaction, if the appraisal already done, most lenders will ask the appraiser back to your property to do a 442 completion report to make sure the property is ok.

Check with your agent whether 442 is needed if you have a loan in progess, so your closing will not be delayed.
