求助：体罚小孩被查,下面会发生什么？

上周情绪失控体罚小孩，留下痕迹。幼儿园看见伤痕，给 Social Worker 打电话。然后Social Worker 找到我，询问事情经过并录音，以决定是否有虐待儿童。我说是无意中伤及小孩。今天 city police investigator 又找到我，同样询问事情经过并录音，以决定是否要 press criminal charge。 现在小孩还是和我一起生活。我被告知他们还要继续几天调查才会告诉我决定。

下面会发生什么？我现在该怎么办？
