On the day the incident happened, I didn't see any warning about slippery floor. I visited them back two weeks later,they put a slippery floor (not for wet floor) warning in the hall. My son's incident make them realize their problem.

My son was walking and i was looking at the clothes,I don't know if that's consider it's under store's control,not mine

Gap's insurance called me and left message,I didn't call back because i wasn't sure what to do.
1. To settle with them, should I send a written notice? or just call them back?

2. How much the compensation will be fair? $1000 medical bill was paid by my insurance. Doctor recommended Micro Demersion costing $300, won't be covered by my insurance. This treatment will make his scar look better, right now his scar looks bad from the very deep cut caused by the injury. I took off days off work to take care of him and to see the doctor, his pain and suffering. cell phone bill over-used minutes...

3. why didn't they have round edge for the wooden base. my son won't hurt that bad if the edge wasn't so sharp.
