Most store will not want to go to court, they will settle with you. 20-30K is really not that much for such injury. I had been a juror for a similar case at the court, and the defedent was really trying to settle (they told us after the trial was over), but the plentiff was asking for way too much money. Your 20-30K is reasonable, I don't see why they are not willing to settle but pay much more money to go to court with you. So talk to them and ask for the money you are out and the pain and suffering compensation.
