1. You said " sue for the damage "and "court may allow it", I thought I should settle with them, not sue them through court. right?

2. A written notice or a phone call to begin with?

3.contact Gap first or their insurance first?

4. Emotional distree, how much is it usually?

I don't know anything about law, sorry for being so stubborn for the details. I'm a single mother, I'm not brave enough to deal with all these yet,I'm trying to prepare myself better to start.

This is first time I talk to people on the internet. There are so many warm-hearted people here. I appreciate it very much.
