能否录音留作证据?

由于兴趣关系,我准备离开当前工作的地方,去同一公司的另一个部门,该部门已经同意接收. 现在的问题是我当前老板及其夫人不满意我的离开,老板夫人在公司内还担任一定的职务.两人不时在与我私下谈话时说一些侮辱甚至威胁的话(无他人在场).我能否直接就此向公司管理层投诉? 他们能否反说我诬告? 我也想通过录音取得一些证据,不知道这种录音是否合法? 望高人告之.
