Google "backdating lease", 学习小结是it is not illegal, but not a good practice.

再问一下： 如果我不要求对方backdate， 就用现在的日期9／22／2014签一个lease with ending date 8/31/2014，那么这样签出来的文件有法律效应吗？或者有什么相关的term可以用来google.
