When I joined my current company, I signed an agreement saying that any kinds of intellectual properties related to the business of the company I came up belongs the company, either using my own time or not. Recently, I came up an idea related to the business of the company. I have put some efforts into it for system development and the product is in the process of getting matrure but still needs much effort for development. Obviously, the intellectual property belongs to the company according to the agreement. My questions are:
Q1. Does the product completely belong to the company also? What kind of return I can expect to get from the product if I talk to the company and the company would like to invest on it for further development?
Q2. If I leave the company now and later I put this system into business, what kind of trouble I may got?
Q3. If I talk to the company now and ask if it is interested in the idea and would like to explore it and explicitly say that I will assume the answe as NO if I got no response, e.g, to my emails, and later I do get no answer or other confirmative answer, would I still have the trouble later if I put the product into business? Does the invention still belong to the company considering that the company did respond to my email? What kind of argument I have to protect my rights/ownership for this invention and the future business if it happens?
