【亮妈厨房】2019-06 学做Dr. Pepper Meatball

上个周日是超级碗，既然在美国当然也要跟上美国的体育盛会。Google 一下Super Bowl recipe, 发现了下面这个视频。

正好家里有一磅牛肉馅。照着方子去店里面买家里面没有的食材。特别是Dr. Pepper. 想起刚刚来美国读书时教授讲到不同牌子的饮料时提到Dr. Pepper. 我那时只知道Cola, Pepci, Spirit, 还有7 up, 不知道还有一款叫Dr. Pepper. 为了知道是什么味道特意去店里买了12听。从此变成喜欢的饮料之一。当然很久没买这些饮料了。

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE MEATBALLS

1 lb. 

ground beef  一磅牛肉馅儿

1/2 c. 

bread crumbs 半杯面包碎

1 

egg, lightly beaten 一个鸡蛋

1 tsp. 

garlic powder 一茶勺 蒜粉

1/2 tsp. 

paprika 半茶勺的甜辣椒粉

Kosher salt   盐

Freshly ground black pepper  黑胡椒粉

1 tbsp. 

olive oil 一茶勺的橄榄油

Parsley, for garnish 

FOR THE SAUCE

2 c. 

ketchup  两杯 番茄酱  我还是觉得有些多了。 可以少放点。

cans Dr. Pepper  两听Dr. Pepper. 

2 tbsp. 

tomato paste 两茶勺 番茄酱 Google 把 Ketch up 和 tomato paste 都译成番茄酱。但这两个是有区别的。 

1 tbsp. 

Worcestershire sauce 一茶勺辣酱油。

1 tsp. 

onion powder 一茶勺洋葱粉。

Kosher salt 盐

Freshly ground black pepper 黑胡椒粉。

DIRECTIONS

 

1. In a large bowl, mix together beef, bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper and mix until combined. Form into ping-pong ball–size meatballs.
2. In another large bowl, whisk together ketchup, Dr. Pepper, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper.
3. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add meatballs to the pan and brown on all sides. When meatballs are browned, add the sauce to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Let simmer, basting the meatballs sporadically with a spoon, until sauce has reduced by half and meatballs are cooked through, 8 to 10 minutes.
4. Garnish with parsley and serve.
5. 按照英文的方子加上看视频，先做出丸子，在锅里煎熟。
6. 放兑好的酱料。我煮的时间远远多于8-10分钟。起码有三十分钟，因为汤汁收不到二分之一的样子。估计是火不够大。
7. 应该用一个深一点的锅，不然汤汁嘣的哪里都是。

9. 汤汁很有Babecue sauce的味道。这需要一队年轻的小伙子边吃边看电视才过瘾。 不管怎样，做了一个新菜。 圆导，这个新菜送给圆猫小盗们。这么多的肉圆子，它们一定喜欢。而且高能量。

11. 晚上看球，这场球远不如上一场Conference Championships game 新英格兰爱国者队对Chlefs好看 (37:31)。只有一个touch down. 最后的比分是13：3， 估计是史上超级碗的最低分数。 
12. 爱国者队也平了匹城钢人队拿到6次超级碗冠军的记录。
13. 中场show 也一般。不如以前的好看。
