1) Congradulations! You don't have any status issue.
2) 传播in US is not easy to get in if you were not grown up here. Because there is a big culture gap between US and China. But that doesn't mean you absolutly CANNOT get in. It just might not worth the big efforts to get there. Mostly, you'll be discouraged and quit along the way.
3) To get started, it's important to start from where you are. If you don't mind can you tell where you are now? It'd be benefitial if you can take advantage of local main stream business and see what you can do. In another words, what's the job market there? And where is your job market?
