You are willing to tell this person about the good， the bad and the ugly也比较trust他的judgement。

Supply Chain到Finance,the easiest/obvious is cost savings. Beyond that you can also bring value by ensuring supplier quality, minimizing  supplier risk, managing demand/inventory level, etc.
