i did similar thing. pick the smaller boss (including SVP) has no meaning...

schedule a meeting with CEO, bring your original message and all the prove... do it.

Why wait for the moment they report you to the CEO?

why wait for the moment they all take actions back to you?

prepare your resume, too  :)
