走出自己的蜗居，幸哉，不幸哉？

大家最近在讨论走出自己comfort zone的话题。讲一下我的实际感受。
In short, if you are very good at technical skills and enjoy the accomplishment you can achieve through your technical skill, walking out of this comfort zone may not be that appealing.
我的新工作就是一个完全靠soft skill吃饭的活。一开始很新鲜，觉得是个极大的挑战。每天游走在各色人等之间，靠一张嘴游说，engage upper management， collaborators， 争exposure，争宠，搞resource， 要funding。差不多把专业完全放弃了。几个月下来，该做的事都做成了， 还增加了不少business，可自我感觉一点都不好，觉得什么也没干。有时真想回去做以前的活，那是mentally－challenging的work。现在这些靠network，靠忽悠的工作很难给我成就感， 觉得脑子被闲置在那，无用武之地。突然发现虽然外面的世界很精彩，但还是回蜗居更舒服。
