请问Look over your shoulder到底是啥意思？

前天经理说要做一个功能，然后想让我做，让一个新进公司的小朋友look over my shoulder，

我以为look over your shoulder就是report的意思，难道是让我给一个新人作报告？

然后就争辩了几句。。。。

昨天经理又跑过来说有一个bug，他想自己做，然后我让我look over他的shoulder。。。。

于是我彻底糊涂了，到底look over your shoulder是啥意思？
