is there any light at the end of the tunnel? meaning do you think there is a chance you could transfer to another department?

If not, you should sit down with him to have a one on one discuss, tell him how you feel and ask him if there  is anything you can do to help him to ease the pressure...

If things are getting out of control and continue to escalate, you should proceed with a skip level meeting with his boss or HR, to treat people with no respect is not acceptable.

Remember, the other side of the grass may not be greener, change job can't always be the solution. Good luck!
