1. 这个评价会对我在career center针对一个具体职位投的简历有影响吗?
Yes.
2. 如果通过短短几分钟talk我得到不是特别outstanding的评价, recruiter会在自己的系统里记录下我的名字吗?这样在career center 的resume pool里preselect
resumes时因为这个记录直接pass我的简历??

3. 假如recruiter把我的简历从career center的resume pool挑出来,他还会参考
career event当天收的我的简历上对我做出的评价吗?如果发现我的简历上备注的评价一般,也决定不选我的简历?
We have 1,2,3 system. Resumes with 1 will get onsite interview. 2s are maybe if we don't have enough 1s. 3s are discarded.
假如我只和一个staff level的公司代表 talk,没有和recruiter talk以至于
recruiter对我没有印象。结果recruiter在career center resume pool preselect
resumes的时候因为对我没有印象没有把我的简历挑出来,岂不是很不公平吗?
Usually the service line representative makes the preliminary decision not recruiter. Recruiters typically follow our decision.
招聘会时间那么紧,大公司前面围的人又格外得多排队都要等半天,时间上根本不可能和所有的人都talk一遍。总不能为了争取大公司的机会一点时间都不留给小公司吧!
Get there early.. :-) Also, try to attend other events sponsored by the companies you are interested in such as Beta Alpha Psi Meeting, accounting social, etc.. You will have some additional chances to impress us there as well.
其实归根结底一个问题就是,那些拿到大会计公司(either national or big regional) offer的同学们,你们把精力主要放在在career center投简历呢还是去career event impress公司代表呢?
I will try both. If your resume is not extremely strong e.g. 4.0 GPA and passed CPA exam, going to career fair will be a good idea.
