The value of a company should be very clear

to any employee, as it relates to the company's vision. However, many people may not truly honor the publicly stated "company value". Therefore, it comes down to your discretion and observation -- if there is any discrepancy, it may be a good idea to communicate and confront your boss (or your boss' boss) privately and try to achieve a better understanding, as many problems actually result from communication issues.

If there is no progress after ample communication, you can let them know you WILL bring this to the top management's attention, so that they don't feel you are backstabbing them.

Be polite, but firm; Focus on facts, instead of your opinions. Allow me to say this honestly: your opinion doesn't worth too much in front of the eyes of the top management, so remember to communicate based on evidence, facts, and data.
