Follow your company's policy and common practices.

Take it easy, do not show your frustrations,
think it postively, act professionally at any circumstances.

Seek a mentor from senior management in the future if chances occur.

Besides, the guy may not enter into management since age is an implicit glass ceiling. But make not enemy!
