抛砖引玉,关于诚实,Negotiate salary?

从小被教育做人要诚实,

我们中国留学生来美国打拼不容易.面试许多公司时候还有H1B等身份的限制.有些时候工资低也不得不接受.

那么我就有以下一些问题,希望能够得到高手解答.

一个假想的EXAMPLE, 如果新公司一定要问你目前单位的工资(不可以回避),你会怎么办?

1)如实告诉他们, $70K. OK, 新公司会给你$80K,增加超过10%.新公司觉得自己已经仁至义尽.尽管你自己觉得自己应该拿到$100K.(因为前一个公司的$70K太低了.)
虽然自己据理力争,Blah....能力,责任什么的,可是没有用.虽然这个职位有一个工资范围,但新公司就是给你平均值或是略低,因为活该你前一个公司工资低嘛...当然特别大牛除外.周围的朋友见到过许多这种抱怨.

2)隐瞒说谎.告诉他们你目前工资$85K.这样一来不就失去了诚实了吗?如果他们问你要去年的W2表怎么办,你可以不给,但是他们能查出来吗?
