I agree that for people who make big bucks (>100k), 5k is no big a deal. But for people with lower pay, 5k can be a big chunck of money. If could potentially bring different life style.
Starting salary is important.I was hurt so badly by my lower starting salary with my last company, After N years of struggle, you still earn less than others ...
