offer negotiation 急问！

找工两个月了。这是我拿到的第一个offer.工作性质很喜欢，但是福利一般，工资比我想要的最低限还少了5k.虽然通过agent argue过了，今天收到offer letter,上面列的还是他们一开始给的，什么都没变。agent说他们很强硬，看来不会调整了。原因是我申请的职位原来干的人（后来走了）比我多几年工作经验，恰好就拿我要的数目。所以他们认为给我一样多的钱not fair.我告诉agent让我再想想看，毕竟不想轻易失去这个机会。agent说星期一会再电话给我。
现在我想退让一步，把我要的工资降低2k。我应该直接告诉他们呢？还是等到星期一？现在就谈是不是显得太desperate?我可以绕过我的agent直接和公司谈吗？
