#1 role being manager is to manage others have the job done

I am sure he a very good engineer but not a sharp manager. I know a lot of Chinese engineers are in the same shoe. They all have a "manager/group lead" title but not real managerial auth while being the work horse. Better ask a big bonus for all these hours and find quality stuffs to share the workload!
