No, I didn't do it until this spring (so my data last year did not have the contribution of this tactic).

I also think of the wear and tear problem when I learn about it. Nowadays I only do it a few times on each trip. Usually I don't do it when the slope is not big and long enough to worth doing it. I will check out more literatures to explore about this issue. Any more information?
