I did experience the mechanical jerk sometimes,

but it seemed to happen more when the car stoped (say, I coast to a red light and finally stop and then shifting from "N" to "D"). When the car was moving, I didn't feel that so obvious (I was expecting it and was looking for it to be a "Con" reason for using this tactic). Any clue why?
