曾经就这个问题专门问过MLS的人。当然不是律师啦，只做参考。

不准确的square footage并不能构成上告的理由。 因为尺寸信息是public信息， 正常买家和agent能够在下offer之前获得这个信息。如果发现不一致， 买家可以在offer里注明你买的就是这个尺寸， 如果尺寸不符可以退出， 否则表明买家认可这种不准确。 验证尺寸是买家的责任。你的offer里也有相应的条款表明这是买家自己的责任。
