对橄榄球和足球之争我说几句

本人喜爱橄榄球.  热爱的程度只有世界杯足球可以匹配.  我从来不试图说服对橄榄球没兴趣的人看橄榄球, 因为喜爱是自发的.  但某些网友对橄榄球的偏见使我不得不说几句.

我从小玩足球, 在美国也参加过两年 intramural 足球比赛, 期间被美国"土"人(美国土生土长的人)撞飞数次.  橄榄球只是平常玩过flag football.  要我比较, 我还是喜欢橄榄球多一点.

那些说橄榄球是四分卫一人玩的网友明显是不懂橄榄球.  橄榄球是纯team sport.  比赛双方对阵如同玩兵棋.  队员之间讲求合作, execution.  任何一个位置的弱点都会被敏锐的对方教练 exploit.  无论队中四分卫如何神勇, 没有其他队员支持, 他会一无所获.  其实橄榄球最重要的是 "trench", foundation is built on the lines up front. 

玩运动一般是对读书没兴趣, 只要有体能玩运动是出路.  橄榄球每个位置有其专门的职责, assignment, 所以要知道在场上如何做, 如何站.  以我为例, 我个子不高.  进攻玩接球手(wide receiver), 要知道最基本的跑线 (routes), fly patten, post patten, curl, slant 等等.  Timing 是最重要的, 还要知道如何 get off the scrimmage, get separation, 如何 beat double coverage.  所以体能好还要有 football IQ, 要明白playbook, 否则就是在场上瞎转.  防守我做边守卫(corner back), 要大概知道 zone coverage, man coverage. 

要是对橄榄球有兴趣, 我建议首先要懂规则.  没有理解如何谈喜欢.  任何运动都有沉闷的时候, 像足球老半天不踢进一球.  好不容易弄进一球又是越位, 更不说看那些后卫来回倒脚浪费时间.  我不会说是橄榄球世界上最好的, 但它体能方面是男人们玩的运动 (没有歧视女性的意思).
