This is in response to some "reports" claiming Yao is clashing with RA.

I was really embarrassed at clutchfans last night, to see so many rookies posters with less than 20 posts under their belts, whining and crying for Yao played extra 1 minute 51 seconds after the last time out. They cried about how Yao is injury prone, how this was Adelman's punishment of Yao, how Adelman should be let go, and how Yao should sign with Lakers. It's just sad that whinny "fans" not only made themselves laugh stock, but also turned other Rockets fans off from Yao, or Chinese fans in general.

Yao is a 7'6 big boy, he's 28 years of age married man, he's in NBA for 7 years. I think he can take care of himself, instead of relying on whiny internet casual fans. They struggled mightily against the fronting. Shaq at age of 36, scored 46 points the other night. Obviously, they were trying to use real game to practice how to beat fronting. How about we respect facts and logic? Maybe, just MAYBE we should take Yao's own words higher than a wild guess from a random Chinese commentator during the game? It all started from there, right?

It's utterly disgusting and embarrassing.

The Wolves did try fronting Yao as the Bulls had, prompting Adelman to leave Yao on the floor for the final 7 189; minutes to work on the corrections needed after Saturday’s loss.

Though Yao took only seven shots, he made five and scored 17 points with 11 rebounds and a season-high six blocked shots. (He had five in the previous game against the Timberwolves.) More valuable, however, than his own scoring, Yao created opportunities around him.

"They got open shots because of Yao," Minnesota coach Kevin McHale said. "We were trying to circle the wagons around him and tried to keep the ball out of his hands."

The Rockets made 53.3 percent of their shots, led by Artest’s 10-of-15 shooting. Carl Landry came back after missing four games with a sprained ankle to make four of five shots, scoring 12 points in 26 minutes.

"I think we used me well," Yao said. "I’m not saying just passing me the ball, but my teammates used the double teams to go get open looks for the rest of the team."

Yao might have made one other subtle contribution. Less than two minutes into the second half, the Timberwolves had scored on their first three possessions and led by three. After an Artest drive, Yao barked, ‘Let’s get a stop.' The defense came alive, the Timberwolves missed 13 of their next 15 shots and the Rockets opened a 17-point lead.

That, however, brought reminders of the 17-point lead the night before, and sent the Rockets home having made progress, but far from satisfied.

"We wanted to have two wins on the road on the road trip," Yao said. "We didn’t. We should have that."

Instead, they got a split, with a loss they might be well-served to be unable to forget.
